In March 2002, Gianni Bernardi joined forces with his brother in law, Franco Pardini, a well-knowned name on the Leeds restaurant scene(The Flying Pizza, Le Celle, Franco's Pescatore to name a few)  and sets their eyes on a unit in The Light Commercial Centre in Leeds and turned it into informal Brio Pizza.
